Subject: Unlawful Cell Tower - Sutton Junction

Good Afternoon Pierre Jacob,

I am writing on behalf of the residents of Sutton Junction, Qc.

In brief:
We opposed the proposal by Bell Mobility to build a 60 metre cell tower in our backyard. After the fact, Bell Mobility did not hold any public consultations - despite our concerns. Additionally, after we made them aware of our concerns, Bell Mobility deceived the residents by publicizing that they were not going to build said tower and that they were selecting an alternative location in another region.
Furthermore, the municipality held an unannounced 'public meeting' where they approved the project. Despite all of the councillors   receiving our letter of opposition to the proposal accompanied by a petition of over 100 concerned citizens - this represents a vast majority of our community.
Bell Mobility began work on the tower on Monday in Sutton Junction!
We are familiar with the guidelines by Industry Canada regarding Antenna Systems (CPC-2-0-03). Bell Mobility has not honoured this agreement.
Several citizens phoned your Cowansville Office over the weekend - are you aware of this? No-one has responded from your office,. Why is this?
Why has Industry Canada given Bell Mobility a licence for this project?
Our community is outraged by this deception. And, as our MP we expect you to take up our cause.
Please take this under advisement and proceed asap.
We will provide a detailed report including timeline, petition and copy of the misleading article by Bell Mobility once you have made contact.
Until then, we will consider legal advisement as well as notify the media.
Thank you for your support,

Christopher Freeman,
Citizens Group Sutton Junction

  1. " Despite all of the councillors receiving our letter of opposition to the proposal accompanied by a petition of over 100 concerned citizens - this represents a vast majority of our community."
How does 100 people signing a petition represent the 'vast majority' of the Sutton Community?

    1. Hi Ally, the community is Sutton Junction, not Sutton. We are a small community, but vocal!
